Open “Workspace One Hub” app by Uri!

Workspace One Intelligent Hub is a commonly used app-distribution channel in enterprise environment. The Hub itself works well, and is a great tool for simple distribution of Line of Business applications.

One problem of this app is that there is no easy way to “link” to your LOB app from your website. There is no online “Store” or similar that can be used to refer users to the application. You need to write instructions to find, open and search for your app.

I tried to find a solution to this, and found that the iOS app has enabled an “Uri Scheme”.

By invoking the airwatch:// intent uri on an device with the Hub app installed, it will automatically open the app for you. You can test this by entering airwatch:// in Safari! (Or click airwatch:// if you are reading this on an iOS device)

There might be a way to link directly to a specific application, but I have not yet found any official documentation on this feature.
